A (Summer) Day in the Life at Great Park Neighborhoods
Let’s face it, the sun is usually shining in Irvine, CA. But that doesn’t mean we can’t look forward to summer days ahead — especially at Great Park Neighborhoods, where the parks are green, the pools are cool and the popsicles are plenty. Not sure where to start? Here’s how we would spend a perfect summer day in and around the community.

TRAILS
Get up bright and early (but not too early … it is summer after all) for a brisk walk or bike ride through the neighborhood: grab a cup of coffee, wave to the neighbors, listen to the birds chirping in heritage trees. There are miles of trails to explore, so this morning’s excursion can take as little or as long as you’d like.

PARKS
Now that you’ve got some steps — or miles — in, it’s time for a little break. Bring a book and a blanket and find a nice, sunny park to relax in. Which should be pretty easy to do with parks of all sizes sprinkled throughout the community. Pro tip: if your pup is coming too, head to Novel Park where your four-legged friend can run wild in a leash-free dog park.

NEARBY
Lunchtime already? That means it’s a great time to do a little exploring outside of the community. You could take a walk across the Venta Spur Bridge for a quick bite at Woodbury Town Center. If it’s a Sunday, you could catch the Great Park Farmers Market for farm-fresh fruits and vegetables and all kinds of local treats. Or pack a picnic to enjoy at the Great Park itself. (Just don’t forget to ride the carousel!) While you’re there, take note of the schedule for Great Park Live — there might be an outdoor concert or movie coming up that you don’t want to miss.

POOLS
No great summer day would be complete without a dip in the pool. But which one? Great Park Neighborhoods has all kinds, from resort-style to wading pools — even competition-sized. You’ll also find shady cabanas, jacuzzis, outdoor kitchens, firepits … basically everything else you need to make the afternoon a memorable one.

HOMES
It’s been a busy day, but you’re not ready for it to be over just yet. Now is a good time to invite friends and neighbors back home for chats on the patio, music on the record player or a nice, relaxing movie night on the couch. And then, when your summer day is through, you can look forward to doing it all again very, very soon.
