Beacon Park School Groundbreaking

Members of FivePoint Communities, the Irvine Unified School District and the City of Irvine recently came together for the ceremonial groundbreaking celebration of Beacon Park School. Planned to open August of 2016, Beacon Park School will be a featured component of the second of the Great Park Neighborhoods slated to debut this summer.
As the 38th school for the Irvine Unified School District, Beacon Park School sets a new standard for future educational institutions. The neighborhood K-8 school will offer state-of-the-art facilities including up to 33 classrooms, innovation labs, outdoor learning spaces, a design lab, an indoor gym as well as dedicated facilities for music and science classes. In a campus that is designed to optimize learning, Beacon Park School will serve up to 1,000 students.
Speakers including Lynn Jochim, Executive Vice President of FivePoint Communities, Terry Walker, Superintendent for the Irvine Unified School District, and Irvine Mayor Steven Choi shared their enthusiasm for the future school, calling it a place where children will be empowered to learn and open countless doors for growth.
