New bridge. New connections.

New bridge. New connections.
Point A, meet point B. The new Venta Spur Bicycle-Pedestrian Bridge that safely connects Great Park Neighborhoods to neighboring Irvine communities is up and running (literally). Now you can run, walk, bike, hop — or even skip — over the 133 Toll Road with ease. Big thanks to the greater Irvine community for helping us unveil this exciting new addition.
“Continuing to enhance our great City’s bike and pedestrian pathways reflects our commitment to encouraging active transportation and the continual development of our master plan,” said City of Irvine Mayor Farrah N. Khan. “The bridge not only enhances community health through increased exercise options, but it also increases connectivity throughout the City by creating a safer space for bicyclists and pedestrians.”

This pedestrian bridge represents the kind of healthy and connected living we love at Great Park Neighborhoods. Fun fact: it’s the second pedestrian bridge that helps our residents cross major roads safely. (Shout out to the existing Pedestrian Bridge over Irvine Boulevard!) So take a bike ride to Woodbury Town Center. Take your dog for a nice, long walk. And break a sweat without sweating how to cross this busy thoroughfare.

You can access this new bridge through our Novel Park neighborhood near the Novel and Benchmark intersection. (Bonus points if you’re riding an E-bike made by our very own Great Park resident Phil of GPN E-bike.)

See you on the trails!
